We live in the wilderness outside of God’s Garden. It is a wilderness characterized by chaos and disorder that we try to tame with endless rules and regulations but still can’t control. Our only hope is to call upon God to hover over the face of our deep mess and restore order. The universal standard God established from the beginning is merely the sound of the Garden calling us home. If we rely on Leslie and Ron to make our wilderness into a beautiful park we will always be stuck in Pawnee, but if we turn the task over to the “Gardner” standing outside the tomb we can once again walk the sacred grounds of Eden.
