I think we fail to recognize just how significant the three simple words, “And God said,” truly are for a proper understanding of the world in which we live. God spoke, and His artistic, immaterial thought became a physical reality. There is no direction we can turn without encountering His divine discourse. God spoke, the heavens declared, and humans listened. The Bible is a remarkable book because it introduces us to a God who not only speaks His Mind but always gets the last WORD.

The book of nature presents us with the words God spoke into creation. The Fall resulted in distortion of those words through the devilish use of sinful syntax. The scriptural Word helps us recover the meaning of His words. The WORD made flesh restores God’s original Garden grammar. Our newfound literacy compels us to hit the Great Commission road in order to get the WORD out. Maybe it would be more appropriate for us to speak of a Christian Wordview rather than worldview.
